Cefn Cribwr Primary School Youth Council met up with their local Assembly Member Huw Irranca-Davies during an educational visit to the National Assembly for Wales.
The Youth Council toured the Senedd and visited the Chamber during their time in Cardiff. They were also able to put questions to their own Ogmore AM Huw Irranca-Davies who is also the Welsh Government Minister for Children and Social Care.
Taking time out of his busy day to meet up with the Youth Council, the Ogmore AM chatted with the group about the work of the Assembly and also his work as their representative in the Senedd. The School Council questioned Huw about how he became AM and also discussed their own dreams and ambitions for the future.
Mr Irranca-Davies commented: “I’m always delighted to see schools from Ogmore visiting the Assembly and it’s an added bonus if I can get to meet up with them. We had a great discussion and I hope the students and staff enjoyed their visit. It would be good to see more school groups coming down to Cardiff to engage with the people who represent them.
