Ogmore MP Huw Irranca-Davies has welcomed the decision by Partspeed to create 50 new jobs at its 40,000 square foot production facility in Maesteg.
Established in 1984, Partspeed is expanding from its present 1.8 acre site in Rumney, Cardiff. The Nantyffyllon plant will produce green car parts for both the domestic market and worldwide export, bosses said. They already ship parts to Europe, the Caribbean, Australia and most recently the US.
Council Leader Cllrs Mel Nott said “With the impact of new legislation, greener businesses are certainly the way forward and Partspeed have capitalised upon this and have created a strong business as a result.”
Huw said “Partspeed as a company keeps going from strength to strength and it is wonderful to see them invest into our local area. “I look forward to speaking with the management of Partspeed about their proposals for creating local jobs now and in the future.”
