Ogmore MP and AM To Hold Annual Funding Advice Day
Local MP and AM Chris Elmore and Huw Irranca-Davies are inviting local clubs, charities, and community groups to attend their fourth annual Funding Advice Day
This year’s advice day will take place at the Community Church, Aberkenfig, and Chris and Huw’s constituents will have the opportunity to meet with 14 different funding providers and support organisations.
Last year over 100 local residents representing local groups attended, with several managing to secure vital funds for their organisations.
Chris Elmore said: “Since I was first elected, I’ve been really keen to help bring as many new community funding opportunities to the attention of local clubs and groups. Each year, our Funding Advice Day goes from strength to strength and it’s always brilliant to hear about the money and resources local residents have been able to secure afterwards.
“If you’re part of a local club, charity, or community group that is currently looking for funding, please register to secure your place today!”
The event will take place on Friday 6 March between 10am and 12 noon. Ogmore constituents are able to register their attendance by calling emailing Chris via email@example.com.
This year, funding providers include the Heritage Lottery Fund, Charity Bank, Bridgend Association of Voluntary Organisations (BAVO) and Interlink.
Huw Irranca-Davies AM added: “We have so many amazing community groups across Ogmore. We’re always looking for new ways to support them and help them grow. Please do come along to this event – you never know what funding opportunities you might find!
“Last year, places filled up extremely quickly, so please do register your attendance as soon as possible.”
Ogmore constituents can register to attend the Funding Advice Day by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 01656 860 034.
