May 17th, International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia (IDAHBT) brought together Assembly Members in a show of solidarity against prejudice.
Ogmore AM Huw Irranca-Davies who is also the Welsh Government Minister for Children, Older People and Children joined with his colleagues in support of IDAHBT on the steps of the Senedd.
Mr Irranca-Davies stated: “I’m happy to join with my colleagues as a united front against prejudice and discrimination, not only against LGBT people but everywhere in our everyday lives. For too long LGBT people have faced a hate crime or incident merely because of their sexual orientation or their gender identity. This has to stop. In a modern world we should all strive to be a more tolerant, open and welcoming society.”
