Nôl i’r Ysgol i Huw – Back to school for Huw

Llangynwyd School visit Baccalaureate workshop

Yr wythnos hon, roedd Huw Irranca-Davies AC yn ôl yn yr ysgol, lle treuliodd fore difyr iawn gyda myfyrwyr Blwyddyn 12 Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Llangynwyd.

Fel rhan o Fagloriaeth Cymru, roedd y disgyblion wedi derbyn cyflwyniadau am Gynulliad Cenedlaethol Cymru gan Swyddogaeth Addysg Maes. Cafodd Huw y cyfle i sgwrsio â’r disgyblion am ei waith fel Aelod Cynulliad etholaeth Ogwr, ac am ei waith yn y Cynulliad.

Mae Huw yn siaradwr rheolaidd mewn ysgolion a gyda grwpiau colegau ledled ei etholaeth. Dywedodd, “Mae’n bwysig i bobl ifanc ddeall sut mae ein llywodraeth a’n democratiaeth yn gweithio. Mae bob amser yn bleser ymwneud â myfyrwyr, clywed eu syniadau a’u cwestiynau a’u hannog i fod y newid maen nhw am ei weld yn y dyfodol.”

It was back to school for Huw Irranca-Davies AM this week, when he spent a very enjoyable morning with Year 12 students from Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Llangynwyd.

As part of their Welsh Baccalaureate, the pupils from the school received presentations about the National Assembly for Wales from an Outreach Education Officer. Huw was able to give the students an update on his work as an Assembly Member for the Ogmore constituency, and on his working in the Senedd.

Huw regularly speaks to school and college groups throughout the constituency, and says “It is important that our young people understand how our government and our democracy works. It is always a pleasure to engage with students, to hear their ideas and their questions, and to encourage them to be the change they want to see in the future.”
