Ogmore Assembly Member Huw Irranca-Davies AM received a warm welcome when he visited the Royal Glamorgan Hospital in Llantrisant recently.
He saw first-hand the excellent facilities of the A&E Department, Acute Emergency Care Unit and the Radiology Department, a direct result of continued Welsh Government investment in health services in Wales.
Following further tours of the Children’s Centre and Pathology Department, Huw also observed the Bed Manager’s meeting to see how complex pressures on bed spaces are resolved by senior nurses.
Huw commented: “The Royal Glamorgan Hospital is leading the way by implementing innovative systems and treatments to improve patient care. The success of the award winning Hospital is owed to the hard work and commitment of the hospital workers, sometimes working under enormous pressures. It’s always a pleasure to meet with frontline hospital staff to whom we owe so much. A very enjoyable visit.
