Nestling in the bottom of the valley in Llangeinor is a quiet but dynamic success story for Ogmore, Wales and the UK. The Queen’s Award for Enterprise winner Airborne Systems is setting the highest global standards for aerial deliverability and survivability systems, winning export orders across the world.

Ogmore Assembly Member Huw Irranca-Davies visited this key local employer to hear of their success, and exciting plans for the future. On a previous visit accompanying Prince Charles he had met several new apprentices, and this latest visit was also a chance to catch up with them as they progress through to exciting careers with this company who believe in developing their own workforce.

Huw said “I’m proud to have Airborne Systems here in Ogmore, with a highly skilled and loyal workforce making and maintaining products which save lives right across the globe. They are truly world-leading, and are a fantastic ambassador for Wales and the UK.”
