Wyndham Boys and Girls Club, a steadfast focal point for the youth of the Ogmore Valley and surrounding areas celebrates its 80th year in 2018.
The Club who recently received recognition as Group Winners in the Bridgend County Borough Mayor’s Citizenship Awards have seen many volunteers through their doors. The success of the Group has been down to the Manager Paul and his dedicated volunteers who have worked hard to provide a welcoming place for the young people of the area to go and take part in a wide-range of activities.
Ogmore Assembly Member and Welsh Government Minister Huw Irranca-Davies visited the Club to present them with a small donation. In his role the AM occasionally completes surveys that offer a cheque donation to a charity of his choice.
Speaking after the visit the Ogmore AM stated: “It is always a pleasure to help support the Wyndham Boys & Girls Club in any little way. Paul, the leaders, volunteers and others involved in the group work hard to ensure the Club is a success as it goes from strength to strength in its 80th year.”
